How you'll contribute


• Manage all research samples including categorizing, cataloguing, and storing of samples.
• Manage database system for sample inventory and retrieval.
• Work closely with Software Development and Data Tools Department regarding software decisions, improving data storage and quality control of data accuracy.
• Work closely with R&D team for organization of sample shipments from central labs to analysis labs.
• Conduct regular and well documented quality assurance and quality control of storage
• conditions and retrieval methods that impact sample viability.
• Oversee the maintenance and quality control of all lab equipment inside the biorepository.
• Write, monitor, implement and update Biorepository procedures and policies.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the clinical and regulatory compliance team.
• Follow up on all shipping and distribution of samples globally, from sites to central labs.
• Manage and distribute study-related sample management materials to all study sites, or teams, as requested.
• Work with external vendors to provide sites with all lab supplies.
• Track and prepare study sample information utilizing databases, spreadsheets, and other tools (i.e. SharePoint, SmartSheet, etc).
• Collaborate on and continuously look for opportunities to streamline and improve processes.
• Assist in training or mentoring new employees on the sample management activities or other study-related processes.
• Other study-related administrative duties as needed.
• Adhere to all required Universal Diagnostics Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).

What you'll bring

• Degree in Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, etc.).
• Minimum 2 years of previous work as a Biorepository/Laboratory Manager.
• C1 proficiency in English.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Advanced knowledge of lab compliance and safety policies.
• Computer skills required.
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written, required.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all individuals, including external customers and internal Universal Diagnostics personnel.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and take on various projects.
• Must be able to prioritize and manage a large volume of work and show attention to detail.
• Ability to work with self-discipline, good judgment and independence in a dynamic office or remote setting.
