How you'll contribute

• Optimize NGS pipeline and signal processing components/workflows for robustness, observability, and memory utilization
• Contribute to the design of microservices and orchestration for cancer detection pipeline
• Initiate internal reviews of code artifacts as part of code readiness and code quality activitie
• Provide solutions and strategies for re-architecting software components and optimizing orchestration to ensure compatibility with production requirement
• Serve as an advocate for best practices in code quality and production workflows for NGS pipelines and work closely with the software verification and validation (V&V) tea
• Support deployment of production NGS pipeline
• Serve as a technical SME for code reviews of production-ready code

What you'll bring

• At least 3 years experience developing and deploying production-ready software artifacts for NGS pipelines in a commercial setting
• At least 3 years experience developing services and tools for managing end-to-end software workflows
• At least 1 year experience managing and monitoring NGS pipeline initiation and status events in a commercial setting
• Previous hands-on experience with Docker containers, AWS EKS, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, SNS, SQS, and/or other cloud infrastructure used to support deployment of NGS pipelines is required
• Previous experience with rearchitecting NGS pipeline components and optimizing pipeline orchestration is required
• Previous experience with development practices and formal code reviews for Class III / PMA medical device software is strongly preferred
• Previous experience with REST APIs is also preferre
• Previous experience working with software V&V teams to identify solutions for defects/issues identified during software V&V activitie
• Previous experience collaborating with computational biologists, bioinformaticians, R&D team members, and/or Q&A team member
• Bachelor's degree in computer science is required
